About Ahmet Cinalp

Intro to Ahmet
Ahmet is of Turkish origins, from the region of Izmir where he grew up till he graduated from the College of Izmir in 1985.

He moved to Hull back in 1986 and since then has called it home. He continued his education on arrival, completing a one year English course followed by a City and Guilds qualification in Hotel Management and Catering. Over the last 38 years, he has become to an active member of the community. He has worked in several industries, including hospitality, retail and tech. He currently runs a tech company providing digital payment solutions to businesses.

Family and Interests:
Ahmet is a proud father of four children, and his family is the cornerstone of his life. They share a deep connection to Hull and are actively involved in the community. Ahmet’s extensive travels have broadened his perspective, enriching his understanding of different cultures and communities.

He takes his responsibility towards his children and being a great role model to them very seriously. In recent years, this responsibility lead him to take a break from his career and businesses to go on a journey of spiritual growth, connecting more with his faith.

He has always been passionate about community service and has engaged in various aid and community projects throughout his time in Hull. His commitment to improving our community is unwavering. He is also an avid Hull City supporter, often found cheering for our local team.

He made the decision to stand as an independent candidate for the Hull North and Cottingham constituency following years of neglect from Labour MP Dianna Johnson towards the city and its people as well as the Labour Party’s stance on many issues that affect our country as well as the world as a whole, not least the ongoing horrific situation in Gaza.
